Mumbai: Angrezi Medium featuring Irrfan Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Radhika Madan in the lead roles has been massively affected due to the theatre shutdown in several parts of the country. On Saturday, the film witnessed a drop of 20 to 25 per cent in Box Office Collection, managing to rake just Rs 2.75 crore, said a report from boxofficeindia.com. The two-day collection of the above comedy-drama now stands above Rs 6.5 crore. The film had earlier opened at Rs 4.03 crore on Friday.With cinema halls closed in several states like Delhi, Odisha, and Bihar, Angrezi Medium is unlikely to recover from the bleak numbers on Sunday. Based on a father-daughter relationship, the film revolves around the struggles of a father (played by Irrfan) to fulfill her daughter’s (played by Radhika) dream and highlights the pure love of a father towards her daughter. However Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Baaghi 3, which opened to a good note–earning Rs 52.75 crore in the opening weekend– last week, has been hit by cinema hall shutdowns in different parts of the country.
