Delhi CM announces admissions prog for Shaheed Bhagat Singh AFPS


New Delhi:  Delhi Chief Minister, CM Arvind Kejriwal has made a big announcement on the occasion of Bhagat Singh’s martyrdom day on March 23, 2022. In a press conference held today, on March 22, 2022, CM Kejriwal announced admissions to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School.

According to the announcement made by Delhi CM, admissions to this school are being done for classes 9 and 11. He even said that the school has been named such in the memory of the great freedom fighter.
Speaking further, CM Arvind Kejriwal announced the class 9, 11 entrance exam date. He said that the phase 1 aptitude test for admissions to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School will be held on March 27 and 28, 2022 for classes 9 and 11 respectively.
Explaining the importance of this school, CM Kejriwal said the school will be aimed at providing army-related training to students. Those aiming at National Defence Academy and Naval Academy, NDA and NA; Air Force or any other form of armed forces training, would find this school extremely beneficial.
Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School will be FREE of cost for all Delhi residents. Till now, nearly 18,000 applications have been received for admissions to classes 9 and 11.
Even though the institute is aimed at being a state-of-art modern school, for now, it offers only 200 seats – 100 each in both classes. Built in a land area of about 14 acres, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Armed Forces Preparatory School will also be a residential place.
