New Delhi: If you are planning to fly within India in coming days then rethink as Airlines in India are likely to resume domestic flight operations from the first week of June according to ET. However, ticket booking will open 10 days before the restart of operation. Worth mentioning here is that all commercial flights have been grounded since March 25. However, there is no clarity yet on resumption of international flight operations.
“Restarting operations will depend on the situation with respect to number of (coronavirus) cases but the expectations are that it should start by the first week of June,” the business daily quoted a senior aviation ministry official as saying. “We plan to allow airlines to open booking 10 days prior to the restart of operations.” This only pertains to domestic services and there are currently no discussions about restarting international operations, he said.
