Light rain likely in parts of UP

Lucknow: Light rain occurred in some areas of Uttar Pradesh while eastern region of the state also witnessed lightning and thunderstorm, the meteorological department said here on Friday.

Robertsganj in Sonbhadra and Rajghat in Varanasi recorded 1 cm of rainfall each since Thursday.

The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded in Ballia (35.5 degrees celsius).

Rain and thundershower are very likely at isolated places in the state on Saturday, the weather department said.
