CBSE Evaluation: Class 10, 11 and 12 marks in 30:30:40 ratio, full marks of practicals


New Delhi: CBSE Class 12 Evaluation Criteria 2021 for result calculation has been submitted to the Supreme Court. In the detailed criteria as shared, marks scored by students in their Class 10, 11 and 12 would be considered in the ration of 30, 30 and 40%. As in 30% from 10th, 30% from Class 11 and 40% from Class 12.

CBSE Class 12 Result 2021 would take into consideration the marks scored by the student in Class 10, 11 and 12. The marks for the Class 12 practical exams, however, would be taken as it is. Now, for class 12, there are different subjects who have different break up of Practical and Theory marks. Students need to understand that only the theory portion marks would be calculated using Class 10 and 11 score.

Explaining the same further, say the student who has Physics, Chemistry as subjects. The paper for these two is divided into 70 and 30 marks for theory and practical each. Now, say the student has scored 30 in practical. Now, to assess the marks out of 70, 30% or 21 marks would be considered from Class 10, 30% or 21 marks from Class 11 and 40% from Class 12 assessment.

The two member bench of Justices A.M Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari would be hearing the case against the CBSE and CISCE. The bench would also be hearing the matter listed by Advocate Anubha Shrivastava Sahai for cancellation of all state board exams.

In the previous hearing , the bench had agreed to give 14 days to CBSE to present an alternative mode of assessment for Class 12 students after the exams were cancelled. The board in turn had constituted a committee to define the CBSE Class 12 evaluation criteria. Important developments and points are listed below.

However, CBSE Class 12 Result 2021 is expected to be announced by July 31, 2021. The board recently conducted urgent meeting with various schools, asking them to complete Class 10 Result tabulation at the earliest. CBSE hinted that the schools would require all resources to compute Class 12 results in time.
