Harley-Davidson to launch Electra Glide Revival limited edition

New Delhi: Bike Harley-Davidson is trying the modern route to expand its portfolio and regain the followership it lost over the last few years. The iconic American brand has already embraced electric mobility with LiveWire and is ready to foray into the adventure-tourer segment with Pan America 1250. With that being said, Harley-Davidson is in no way going to let its heritage fade away in the minds of people, which is why it has decided to resurrect some iconic brands by powering them with the latest powertrain.

Christened ‘Icons Collection’, this series will see H-D revive two iconic models every year in a limited run of 1,500 units only. This year, we already know the company is working on Custom 1250 which will hark back to an old model. Joining this will be Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Revival. According to media reports, the Electra Glide will be the first motorcycle to be revived under the Icons Collection.

Harley-Davidson has given a handful of hints towards the new Electra Glide Revival on some occasions. The company’s Q1 presentation teased the ùpcoming bike by sharing an image that had an ‘Electra Glide Revival’ moniker on a fuel tank. Followed by this, several teasers surfaced on the interweb showing the silhouette of the Electra Glide. As gauged from this teaser, the new motorcycle will retain some classic elements like batwing fairing, a large front fender, and panniers. The new Electra Glide will also get spoke-wire rims, as seen in the teaser image.

Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Revival is likely to use the new Milwaukee Eight 114 engine which includes a 1,870 cc V-twin engine that puts out 161 Nm of peak torque. It is the same engine that propels high capacity H-D bikes like Street Glide and others.
