Mahindra Unveils XEV 9S seven seater SUV
New Delhi: Indian car maker Mahindra & Mahindra today launched newest electric SUV, the XEV 9S, for the Indian market. The all-new seven-seater is offered in four variants, and the entry-level One Above trim stands out as the most value-for-money option at Rs. 19.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
This SUV is also more affordable than the XEV 9E, which is priced at Rs. 21.90 lakh for its base variant. As for the specifications, the 9S gets 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs, with claimed ranges of 521 km and 679 km, respectively.
Standard features of the base variant include cruise control, panoramic sunroof, 18-inch wheels with aero covers, LED headlamps and tail lamps, electronic parking brake, six airbags, TPMS, and a driver drowsiness detection system.
Additionally, the XEV 9S offers a triple-screen layout right from the base trim, along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 5G connectivity, six speakers, reclining and sliding second row seats, height-adjustable driver seat, and a push start/stop button.
There’s more on the practicality front, too. The electric SUV gets 150 litres of frunk space and a 527-litre boot. A rear wiper with washer, auto headlamps and wipers, tilt- and telescopic-adjustable steering wheel, cooled centre console storage, automatic climate control, and rear AC vents are all standard across the range.
